About

Brit Barnhouse the editor-in-chief of In Layman’s Terms, a literary journal they created with the intent to inspire further exploration of science and the natural world. They have a BA in Creative Writing from the University of Washington Tacoma and an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from Portland State University. When not writing about the ever-blurred lines between animals and humans, they can be found giving their dogs belly rubs or amassing a local crow army.
